Updates on Social Media This 2023

Globally, there are 4.74 billion social media users. There are 5.07 billion internet users worldwide, accounting for over 63.5% of the world’s population. The following are some social media updates for 2023.

Instagram’s Navigation Is Updating (Again)

Instagram users should be aware that the app’s navigation bar will be significantly altered in February. Starting next month, the Create shortcut will be relocated from the top navigation to the middle of the bottom menu, replacing the Reels icon. The Reels button will be moved to the right, removing the Shop button.

Customers will continue to be able to reach all of their favorite stores via Discover or other Instagram channels (like Reels, in-feed posts, ads, and Stories). This means that shopping content will most likely be scattered across the Instagram encounter rather than having its own tab.

TikTok (Finally) Launches TikTok Shop in the United States

TikTok’s TikTok Shop service is now available in the United States. Only a limited handful of merchants have indeed been invited to test the social shopping solution so far.

TikTok Shop is already accessible in the United Kingdom and a few Asian countries such as Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore, Malaysia, and the Philippines. This expansion is part of TikTok’s ongoing efforts to build a name for itself in the social commerce area.
